Tổ chức bất vụ lợi IVCE - The Institute for Vietnamese Culture & Education trụ sở tại New York vừa công bố chương trình ViSTA là chương đi kèm với các cuộc hội thảo du học Hoa Kỳ tổ chức tại Việt Nam từ năm 2000 nhằm giúp sinh viên Việt muốn du học bậc đại học tại Mỹ.
ViSTA tắt của Vietnam Summer Teaching Assistant là chương trình tuyển dụng sinh viên đại học hay hậu đại học ở Mỹ để dạy các lớp Anh ngữ TOEFL, SAT, GRE hoặc GMAT trong mùa hè năm nay ở Việt Nam.
Sinh viên thuộc tất các trường đại học ở Mỹ đều có thể tham gia nếu hội đủ điều kiện.
Mục đích: dạy các lớp TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT ở Việt Nam. Điều kiện: sinh viên năm 2, 3, 4 đại học và tất cả sinh viên bậc MA Thời gian: 8 tuần lễ (với 4 tuần tại hai thành phố) Địa điểm: Cần Thơ, TP/HCM, Đà Nẵng, Huế, Hà Nội, Thái Nguyên Chỗ ở: các đại học địa phương cung cấp Tiền túi: $300 Hạn chót ghi danh: 15 tháng Tư, 2007
IVCE cho biết sinh viên được chọn phải tự túc tiền vé máy bay khứ hồi Mỹ-Việt Nam cùng các chi phí khác trong thời gian 8 tuần lưu trú ở Việt Nam. Các đại học hiện sinh viên đang ghi danh theo học có thể giúp các khoản phí này qua các chương trình trợ cấp grant hoặc học bổng. IVCE có vai trò hướng dẫn, phối hợp và huấn luyện.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of ICAN’s Happy 5 Parenting Workshops. Happy 5 aims to empower Vietnamese parents, grandparents, and care providers of children 0-5 years old with knowledge and techniques to ensure safe and healthy child development. The Project Coordinator works closely with ICAN’s team and under the supervision of the Senior Program Manager.
Project Management/Coordination
• Create and implement community outreach to recruit Vietnamese participants.
• Coordinate all logistics related to the Parenting Workshops and Support Groups.
• Co-conduct home visit interviews for workshop participants, and provide follow-up resources.
• Build relationships with other non-profit organizations, community based organizations, and faith-based organizations for outreach opportunities.
• Implement program evaluation by analyzing workshop surveys, and home visit surveys.
• Assist in program reporting & grant writing with the Executive Director and other staff members.
