The UC Berkeley Vietnamese Student Association would like to inform you about our upcoming Culture Show, The Veiled Moon (Sài Gòn Trăng Mờ) on April 21, 2007 in Zellerbach Hall. Through the involvement of over 200 talented students, The Veiled Moon will showcase six types of dances, a unique historical fashion show, vocal performances, in addition to an elaborate storyline set during a pivotal moment in Vietnam's history. Through elaborate set design, costume, dance, and performance of original poetry, the audience will find themselves transported to the period of the 1940s during the end of the French colonization era of Vietnam.

In order to learn more about the show we would like to invite you to a Press Conference held on the Campus of UC Berkeley on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 7pm in Heller Lounge of the MLK Building. It is there that you will be able to directly interview the actors, dancers and directors, view a trailer, watch a sneak peak of one of the dances followed by a reception.Your organization will benefit from this conference as this event hopes to spread cultural awareness to our local community in the Bay Area by youth. At the end of the conference, you will also receive a media kit consisting of photographs from a recent professional photo shoot, a hard and soft copy of an official press release, as well as other materials to assist your publication. Attached is a sample rough poster for the show.

Also in attendance will be a partnered charity, The Catlyst Foundation, a non-profit organization working to improve the lives of orphaned, abandoned and homeless children in Vietnam through educational scholarship programs and direct relief efforts.
